Nutanix / VMWare Engineer (DAT2024120)

Job Summary:

The Nutanix/VMware Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Nutanix and VMware-based solutions. Your expertise in virtualization technologies will be essential in ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Nutanix and VMware-based virtualization environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement scalable virtualization solutions.
• Optimize and fine-tune virtualized environments for performance, efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Implement and manage storage, networking, and security configurations within the Nutanix/VMware infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization platforms, ensuring system availability and stability.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for technical support and solution enhancements.
• Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices related to Nutanix/VMware environments.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and assist in knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2 years of hands-on experience working with Nutanix and VMware virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere, and related components.
• Strong understanding of storage, networking, and security concepts within virtualized environments.
• Experience in scripting and automation tools for virtualization management (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Relevant certifications such as Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are advantageous.
