Job Summary:
The Cloud/Cyber Security Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our cloud-based systems and infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our organization’s sensitive information and assets from potential cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud security best practices, a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities, and the ability to implement effective solutions to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure following best practices for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cloud security strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard company data and systems.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify potential risks and weaknesses in the cloud infrastructure.
- Design and implement security controls and measures in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into cloud-based applications, networks, and services.
- Monitor security logs and respond to security incidents by analyzing and resolving security breaches in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve the organization’s security posture.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on security best practices and protocols for cloud-based operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (3 years) working in a cybersecurity role, with a focus on cloud security.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing principles and architectures, as well as common security protocols and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security tools such as Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB), and Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001) and their implications for cloud security.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), AWS Certified Security – Specialty) are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
