Responsibilities:
Technical Communication and Documentation:
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
Product Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company’s vision, emphasizing the current VS series of high-performing ski boots.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancement, differentiation, and market trends for future iterations of the VS series.
- Research and identify new opportunities within the ski boot market.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a contract designer and any engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Product Development:
- Drive the entire product development lifecycle from conceptualization and design to prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and timely product launches.
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience in developing Rest-based microservices, particularly using Spring Boot applications.
- Proficiency in container-based development, specifically Docker.
- Experience in Hibernate ORM, JDBC, Connection Pooling, and related technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in product management, preferably in the sporting goods industry or related fields.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Java technologies, microservices, containers, and ORM frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
- Leadership skills to lead and mentor a team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
